ORIGIN OF OUR PROJECT
One of the authors (Martin Popik)
had successfully presented project called
"Chosen Features of Liquids". He had an opportunity to work with IP - Coach
system, which gave him some practical and theoretical knowledge in the field
of fluids and conductivity. This system is preferred in current Slovak
schools and universities and it is not quite up to the current standards in
technology, but it still has a good didactic value. Our project was inspired
by this system. We decided to create new device able to measure and
didactically show thermal conductivity of liquids. We consulted our opinions
and ideas for device with many professors and teachers that were working
with IP-Coach system because we wanted to know their opinion and ideas what
they expect from modern measuring system. We tried to find the best way how
to build our device and the teachers that had an opportunity to work with
our system were agreeably surprised. The aims in this project were:
To search for new ways to demonstrate selected features of liquids
To incorporate modern technologies in the experiment and analysis
Perfect our knowledge in thermal conductivity of liquids from other sources and presented projects
To get precise data from experiments using computer processing of data
To create new device
